Great blog! This will keep me amused for a while :-)

I love tripe. I used to live in the Czech Republic and tripe soup,drstkova I think it's called, is a staple there.

I completely share your annoyance at people who won't even try a dish because 'I don't think I'll like it'. I once persuaded an American colleague to try the tripe soup, and he ate it with every sign of enjoyment. When he had finished he commented that it was lovely, but it didn't taste very fishy! Apparently he thought tripe was a kind of freshwater fish :-) When I explained exactly what it was, he was quite angry with me. His loss :-)

Love the picture of the tripes in el mercado. Reminds me so much of when I used to go shopping in Peru.
